Suit Style

When purchasing clothes I always think “How much wear can I get out of this item?”  Last month I did some suit shopping at Lambton Mall, I was on the hunt for some professional pieces for my wardrobe, I hadn’t purchased items like this for over four years. The idea of being able to break the suit up and wear it a few different ways was on my mind as I tried on many different pairs of trousers and blazers.

I landed on this spring suit from H&M because of its fit, spring colours and versility. In today’s post I am showing you a few ways I plan to wear the blazer, dress pants and dress shirt mixed with existing items in my wardrobe.

I chose this suit because the colour was fresh and classic and I knew I could pair it with so many colours and patterns. The dress shirt is where I chose to show off my personality. I loved the pattern and colours for spring and knew I would be able to wear it everyday more casually.

Styling this dress shirt down for more casual wear, I chose to pair it with distressed denim, ensuring to create an unpolished look. I could have taken this a step further by wearing it untucked but I really like to show off the high waist of these jeans so I wore it tucked in here.

Even though these trousers are tailed they are so comfortable, hence why I was able to wear them sitting on the floor. I made these dress pants easy breezy by topping them off with a bright flowy top. The eyelet details in the top make this look extra pretty.
