Nespresso Vertuo Review 2020

I purchased my Nespresso Vertuo machine from Canadian Tire on Boxing Day and have been sipping Nespresso coffee and espresso ever since.

My main motivation for purchasing this machine was the ability to make really good lattes at home. I love lattes, I have had a Salton Milk Frother for over a year now and tried making espresso with a stovetop brewer which worked fine but it never tasted quite the same as from a coffee shop. As a side, this Salton Milk Frother works amazing for heating and frothing milk, it even creates an amazing froth with almond milk which is what I normally use.

So one amazing characteristic of the Nespresso Vertuo Machine is its pressurizing abilities, which is why it creates such a delicious crema not only on its espressos but also on its coffee. Crema gives our coffee a fuller flavour. When I first got my Nespresso Vertuo Machine, I was still making drip coffee for Tyler and I in the morning and then making myself a Nespresso in the afternoon or making us Nespresso’s on the weekend but we are full force 100% drinking Nespresso now because I think it tastes so much better.

I have been trying lots of different pods and trying to keep track of the ones I like best to share with you guys, but I love them all. The only ones I would not buy again are the seasonal flavoured coffees, they are not my favourite. Today I just discovered the Double Espresso Chairo pod and I think this will be my go to for making lattes. If I am making an after dinner latte I will stick to a single shot but for the most part I like a double shot of espresso in my cappuccino or latte.

I would say the only thing I do not like about the machine is how loud it is. I wake up before everyone around 5 am and brew a coffee while I brush my teeth. The Nespresso machine is pretty loud, it has not woke anyone up yet and I hope it doesn’t but its just a bit loud first thing in the morning. Other than that, I love it.

I love the variety of coffees that are available, they are all delicious and interesting and I will probably continue to purchase mixed packs. If you already have a Nespresso Machine and you like to get creative with your lattes, maybe you would like to check out my Instagram and IGTV Channel, I share coffee inspo there all the time.

What is your favourite Nespresso pod? I just can’t decide.

PS These are my favourite, latte or cappuccino mugs because you can see how pretty your drink creation is.
