Spring Fashion Trends 2020

Here are my spring fashion trends. This is what I am seeing repeatedly on the fashion scene and what I am choosing to embrace.

PINK

Shop this fun pink Lace and Charm knit, on sale here.

We are seeing pink everywhere and I think most of us can agree (unless you are not a pink person) that it is a happy colour. As I wait for spring to arrive in full bloom, I am rocking anything I can in the colour pink to keep my mood lifted. I actually had a lot of pink previously but I keep adding to my collection.

60s & 70s VIBES

Shop these cropped bell bottoms from Sadi & Sari here.
We are seeing a lot of nods to the 60s and 70s in the fashion that is arriving for spring. I think this happens every summer and spring, just with different fashion elements. The spring and summer months bring with it an ease of lifestyle. The 60s and 70s emulate a freedom lifestyle, I think thats why we always see them reflected in our spring and summer fashion.

NEON

This top was from the H&M sale rack in Lambton Mall.
Neon is pure fun and an easy way to be playful with everyday outfits like denim. We will continue to see this colour show up in many forms into the summer. If you are feeling nervous about incorporating neon into your wardrobe start with something small and shop the sale racks. Low cost and low commitments are the best ways to play with new fashion.

FEMININE FLORALS

This floral dress is from H&M, check it out here.

I have seen so many delicate floral prints over the last few weeks and I just love this trend. It’s feminine fun and easy to wear.

WIDE LEG DENIM

Shop these Ribcage Wide Leg Levis from Free People here.
I am based in Corunna Ontario, I do most of my shopping in Sarnia and it may be tricky for us Lambton County fashion lovers to get our hands on a pair of these locally this spring and summer. We will start to see this denim style popping up and I would place my bet that by next spring it will be in full effect.

DENIM WITHOUT LIMITS

In general, we do have so many styles, cuts and washes of denim available to us these days. It has been a wardrobe stable for decades and continues to be a necessity from work to play but I am excited and amazed at how blue jeans never cease to evolve and lend themselves to our fashion expression.

These are some trends that I am noticing in my fashion adventures but I would love to hear what you are noticing too. What styles are you embracing and what styles are you choosing to live without. In the end I always encourage you to try it on, step outside your comfort zone and just have fun with your clothes, you never know, you may discover a side of yourself you didn’t know existed.
