There Is Power In The Mundane

Every day counts.

Every morning counts.

It all counts.

Did you make any New Years Resolutions? How are you doing with them?

I have made New Years Resolutions on and off over the last few years but rarely experience success with them. First, I believe every day is an opportunity to start fresh and work towards positive change. Heck, every hour is an opportunity. I am also learning that vision casting and large resolutions are powerful especially when you write them down, but that the success lies in the small daily mundane actions. There is so much power in the mundane and consistency is just not always easy.

On the road to consistency I have learned that I also can not strive for perfection because it does not exist and when I do not achieve it, it leaves me feeling like a failure and I end up quitting. Consistency also allows for adaptability, shifting to achieve priorities in my ever evolving lifestyle. Consistency means coming back to what you know after you have missed some days and you just pick up where you left off.

Community does help with consistency, it has been a huge factor in my personal success showing up each day. I lead a community and so I have a sense of responsibility to them and I know if I do not care for myself first, I wont be able to pour into others. It’s kind of like motherhood, if I am exhausted, I won’t be able to mother my children as well as I could if I was well rested.

If you are looking for help with your daily work and a community to support you openly and honestly each day, send me an email here and let’s get chatting about working together to help you make your goals a reality by working away at the mundane today.

I shared some of these thoughts in this video below as well.

At the end of the day though, no one can do the work for you. The first step is saying yes, the second step is lacing up those shoes and starting to move towards your goals, one step at a time.
