31 Day Live Well Devotional

Hi, my name is Heather. I am a faithful follower of Jesus, a wife, a mother,
and I homeschool my three children. Five years ago, I found myself incredibly frustrated with the state of my life. I felt like I was on a hamster wheel, continuously hitting the same walls relational troubles, financial struggles, anxiety, and depression. To cope, I kept myself really busy and neglected my physical, mental, and spiritual health. I was a mom with two young children and used them and our busy lives as an excuse not to care for myself. During a lockdown, as life abruptly slowed down, I heard the Holy Spirit say, "You have time now." So I listened. I started working out at home and building a morning routine, and the first thing I realized was that I was not well—spiritually, mentally, or physically. I had been blaming and making excuses, avoiding God and the work He was trying to do within me. As I began to get healthy in my body and became more alive and aware of myself and the Holy Spirit, I started to grow. I took ownership of my desires, and things in my life started to change as I allowed God to transform me. This devotional is just a snippet of the lessons the Lord has taught me as I learn to live well—how He designed me to live. My prayer is that this devotional empowers you to faithfully walk out who God created you to be and lead the life you were created to live. "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." — Romans 12:1-2 (NIV)
